Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
In order to move out, I need about $400 every month for rent/bills and about another $200-$300 for gas/food/personal every month.
So I need to make at LEAST $600 a month.
If I get a job at minimum wage, I would need to work AT LEAST 20 hours a week and make about $700 a month.
If I get the CostCo job, I’ll be making around $11 dollars an hour. And since the shifts are 6 hrs I’d work either 12 or 18 hours a week. Which equates to about $594 - $891 a month.
So here’s the problem.
Remember how I’m supposed to coach from December - May? Well that’s 10 hours a week (15 hours when the actual season starts) and I only get one paycheck in May for $1500…. The times he wants me to coach at are around 3pm-5pm WHICH IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY THEREFORE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY FREE TIME TO WORK. And coach would be mon-fri so my only truly free days to work would be on the weekend.
So, I’ve got two questions for you guys.
If I get the mini wage job, should I accept my coach’s offer and just try and work around everything, risking that sometimes I won’t be able to make rent payments? Or should I tell my coach I just can’t do it this season and let down someone who was really depending on me?
If I get the costco job, I can juggle both probably (but I’ll have to work mornings T_T)
